Am I a Bad Jungler?

Atolan··2 votes·1,050 views

I mean. I personally think of myself as a bad but not that bad low elo jungler.

So after loosing a series of games, I decided to say "Fuk Dis, going my main."

So I get into a game. I mean, I ask my team if we need more tanks or more assassins. So they reply as tanks.

So I go Nocturne with like item 3742, item 3142, and item 3025. with a devourer.

I mean. Am i a bad jungler when I complain to my team to buy wards and to set up ganks. I mean early game, I was bad because my Rammus could not taunt. Everytime he would use his powerball, either he comes from top lane to mid lane and KS, or he hits minions while trying to powerball.

The thing was that I knew what to do. So everytime this Rammus would come down and help mid but Ashe top for whatever reason. (Welcome to bronze 5) i would just ping him back to go back top. But he won't listen. he goes in and Ks, and we lost 2 towers.

My mid lane Fizz would take my blue buff and then die to the enemy Zed. this happened 3 times.

bot lane was just useless. i mean my team's KDA was like this.

Karma: 0/7/3 Jhin:7/9/5 Fizz: 7/12/7 Rammus: 7/6/6 Me:7/4/8. Rammus Ks and thinks he's better than me. (#Bronzelyfe)

So am i bad jungler when i say " don't take my buffs because you'll die and give it to someone else?"

am I a bad jungle when my support and ADC were 0/7 and 7/9?

Am I a bad jungler for being the only person on my team to not feed?

Am I a bad jungler when I go AFK farming because i was behind early game like 0/2?

if you say "no", I used to think that way, but the more i do stuff like this, the harder my teammates feed.

Am I a Bad jungler for early obejective control and getting sate in like 19-21 minutes?

This is not my only game. I was playing with a gold 5 friend of mine, and that was even more painful to watch. I'm unranked, and the rest of the people are like silver 5 to bronze 4.

My Zed: 2/8/2 My MissFortune:2/5/3 My Nautilus: 1/3/6. Actually this wasn't bad. My friend Riven : 4/6/3 Me:Khazix 6/4/1

The thing about this is that we can't judge your ability as a jungler based off of this, alone. You said that you are unranked. By that, I can only assume that you haven't had enough experience as a Jungler (in a ranked atmosphere). Your teammates, however, being that you said they are mostly Bronze, are more than likely players who don't understand the mechanics of the game. Be it objectives, wards/vision, etc. Your Rammus, for example, apparently thought he was better than you because he killed stuff more often(?) than you. That is almost the prime definition of the stereotypical Bronze player.

So, if I were to base my judgement off of you having the knowledge to, at the very least, have vision control as well as objective control, I'd say you're NOT a bad jungler. You just happen to have teammates who refuse to communicate with everyone else and believe themselves to be the center of attention, even if it isn't deserved.

Yeah. The thing is when I dont get jungle. About 90 percent of the people I have are just stupid.

they either feed. Go a devourer jungler and take about 30 to 40 minutes to get sated. Or both.

Tentacle Advisor1 votes

That's just what you have to deal with til you get placed anywhere outside of Bronze. Trust me, we've all been there and we all know how it feels. It's just something you have to fight through to get to where you want to be.

If your Devourer jungler is taking so long to get Sated, they are either (A) not keeping control of Dragon, Scuttles and Rift Herald or (B) they are assisting in any fights. (Devourer junglers seem to forget that they can get stacks off of kills and assists, not just jungle creeps).

But, yeah, the most you could do in Bronze is mute whoever becomes toxic or anyone who refuses to act as an actual team member, and just play through the Ping system. That's what helped me.

Its not about others being better or not than you are. In bronze, its all about your ability to carry a game on your own.

If you really want out of Bronze, my only tip would be to STOP playing any form of tank build. Just go with carry builds, use hard carries with engage abilities.

People in low elo are clueless as to what positioning is. So things like Malphite top, Nocturne Jungle, stuff like that is what u want.

Playing Jungle is like playing Chess, but you are only making 1/3 of the moves. You have to anticipate, not react.

If you see your teammates are all shoved, the enemy jungler is obviously going to be ganking a lane at some point, so be prepared to either counter that gank, or invade his jungle when he apears across the map. Stealing farm from him when he shows his position will eventually crippled him, specially if he misses the gank!

Follow this guideline:

Priority: Objectives>Farm>Kills

If you have to choose between ''farming 2-3 camps safely and getting easy gold'' or ''ganking a mid lane Fizz, whom could easily escape, leaving you empty handed'' Which would you choose?

Asking the question is answering it, really.

I suggest you go watch some tutorials, or streams to learn. It really helps out. Go watch 1 game of Plebwars by Trick2g, and you will learn so much. He is rood, but very instructive.

This is literally what I was told, back in S3 when I was nothing but a Bronze. Well, everything but the Trick2g thing, that is. But, anyway, now that I'm Silver 3 and working my way up the ladder to Gold 5 (my short-term goal for this season), I know now that this advice was probably the greatest thing I've ever received from a League player.

From what I was told:

To escape Bronze - Be the carry. Are you the jungler? Build damage. Top Laner? Have strong engage and more damage than tank. Got stuck as Support? (Happened to me and have main'd it ever since) Ward. Ward. WARD!

To escape Silver - Respect you and your teammates' mistake(s) and capitalize on your opponents' mistake(s). Also, remain a teamplayer at all points of the game. Also, WARD!

To escape Gold - Remember, YOU HAVE TEAMMATES!

To escape everything else? The hell if I know. :p

I got out of Silver last season by doing this:

Spamming 3 champs I knew very well. (Caitlyn RekSai and Yasuo

Once I hit Gold, it didn't work anymore lol. Still trying to figure it out.

Tentacle Advisor1 votes

Spamming champs is basically what I'm doing now, too. That, and I don't Ranked without a friend or 2 (or more) playing with me.

I'm currently using

Nami I just love Nami as a champ and her kit is really fun to use, so I decided to start maining her.

Sona I started using Sona in S4 because I loved how her kit was literally a utility box. (Minus her Q, of course)

Leona I play her only if my team needs heavy engage/peel, or if my friend is the adc. I don't play her too often, though.

Soraka I fell in love with Soraka back in S4 and have loved her ever since. She is my favorite support out of all the champs, but sadly, she is constantly banned. [And for good reason.]

I'm hoping that Nami can carry me out of Silver. So far, she's doing rather well, in that regard.

I hear Caitlyn is still pretty strong in Gold. Is that not the case?

DREADN0UGHT1 votes

Oh man, you main supp? That is always harder.

Soraka and Nami are nice and all. Leona can be really good but your team needs to follow up on your engages.

Raka... well u depend entirely on your adc's ability to carry. I would avoir Sona.

I don't ever play Support, but if I do in ranks, I always go Alistar, Braum or Janna.

Ali has incredibly unforgiving CC for laning, Braum is just plain OP, and Janna has a limitless skillcap and some of the best peel and disengage in the support lineup.

I use to play Leona back in s4 and 5, but got bored of her linear play style. The combo is just always WEQ WEQ WEQ lol

Tentacle Advisor1 votes

Yup, Support main and proud of it!

I would play Janna, but I just can't seem to click with her to the level of even decent efficiency. I don't play Alistar, because I don't feel confident in my ability to 85% his WQ combo. [Long story short, I need way more practice in Normals before I even attempt them in Ranked.] I heard (and have noticed) that Braum is rather strong, so I may start trying to learn him to replace Leona.

As far as Sona goes, I use her only when the enemy team is mostly comprised of squishies or if the enemy team lacks a heavy engage/disengage. (Which isn't often, yes, but it does happen sometimes.)

Raka... well u depend entirely on your adc's ability to carry.

Well, not just your adc. You also rely on your other teammates as well. It's true that your primary focus is keeping your adc alive, but you also have to remember your mid laner also has the potential to carry. But, yes, you are definitely reliant on your team's ability. [Something I'm totally fine with accepting.]

Leona, I agree is a bit "do this everytime"-ish. However, the thing I love about her is that even though her battle plan and combo is usually the same, her build path, at the very least, isn't linear. Given her natural tankiness with her W, one could opt for more utility and health over Resistances if the game calls for it. I've had games (though rare as they may be) where I opted to buy stuff like Ohmwrecker and Banner of Command, solely because my team was able to fight without me and I wanted to still be doing something while they went on their merry way, picking people off on their own.

Oh. That explains why 1 of my friends are in gold.

He thinks he doesn't have a team because most of them feed

He thinks he doesn't have a team because most of them feed

I can't tell if this was sarcasm or not, but either way, it made me laugh a little.

Since I'm not Gold, I don't really know, nor can I comment on the presence (or lack of) team synergy/communication. However, I've been told countless times that Gold is "a bunch of Silvers who think they're good enough to be Plat". I believe this is why the "feeding" happens.

DREADN0UGHT1 votes

Gold is the chillest elo. Until u get to Gold 1, where everyone tilts cuz they can't reach Plat.

Atolan1 votes

No like my friend is like a Talon main in gold 1.He got to Plat 5 in season 5, but then got placed in gold 4 and cant make it out of gold 1 again. He gets put with gold 2 players that usually go between 0/5 to 2/13. So according to him, when I asked him "How are you doing in ranked right now?"

He responds that " Not great, my team is troll." He even showed me his match history and it was just painful.

When you get out of bronze and are climbing out of silver playing support :3

PlayingNautilus and Velkoz support in bronze = easy money

I watch those. My teammates are just stupid and feed even though I had a sucessful gank and take at least 1 tower for them

Atolan1 votes

Some of them even backing me when I get towers.

So when I have 1 successful gank and take a tower for my laner, they loose 2 towers while they feed most of the time

Am I a Bad jungler for early obejective control and getting sate in like 19-21 minutes?

thing about lower elo is that ganking wins games. Not because your losing botlane is suddenly going to turn things around when they get a single kill, but because it's the elo of incredibly fragile morale. All you have to do is successfully gank a lane once (preferably bot), they start yelling at each other and the jungler, snowballing into a big ball of toxicity while your team feels immensely more confident.

Atolan1 votes

Most of my teammates are toxic or just stupid. Like they make stupid decisions.

I had a game where I was falling behind as kha zix because all of my teammates KS from me.

They blame me for not ganking after that. Since I just focused on farming to get back into the game and getting all the items.

I mean this ahri expected me to gank her when she was 1/4 while I was under federal to.

This was so difficult to read, but I made it through.

If you haven't been able to break out of your bubble, then chances are unfortunately you are currently not skilled enough. That being said, that doesn't mean your bad, just not at a high level.

Whenever you start to learn synergy with your team, then you can advance as a jungler. Until then, picking Nocturne into every occasion isn't always going to work.

There's been times I've been insulted, ridiculed, bitched at and harassed because of my plays and choices, usually of a player comparing themselves to me, but still won the game. I do that by going in the direction of the team, and even though there are some really trashy people, who deserve to be taken out back and jxjx post-game, I prop people into power positions.

Being a jungler means you have to be a masochist essentially, and if that isn't what you want to do, then you have to pick another role.

working with a team? Like about 98 percent of my friends that play league are between gold 5 to plat 4.

These are some of the following quotes they say.

Gold 5 friend- " Wanna hear a joke? Me having a team."

Gold 3 friend- " Look at this. My team is ass."

Another gold 3 friend-" Team? What's that?"

Gold 1 friend- ""Team? More like trolls."

Atolan1 votes

BTW never said I pick Nocturne everytime. I just said he was my main.

Tentacle Advisor1 votes

I...I really don't know what advice I could possibly give, at this point, to solve that.

if you want to get our of bronze by yourself. you have to go in the mindest that you have to carry each game. it took a lot of playing master yi to get me out of bronze.
