Why cant we life steal off zyra's plants?

i get it why u couldnt before when it had 6 hp only , but now plants are hard to kill and is her main kit, as adc idk anymore if i should fight the plants or leave anymore since i get 0 hp from attacking it. is this a bug? and will this be fixed?
