If you see the autofill enabled advice, please, don't queue. Switch to normal, or ARAM. Watch a movie. Read a book. Take the dog out. Even if you don't mind playing support/jungler, even if you actually enjoy it. Especially if you do.

Block the queue. Try to make it so that even less games start.

Having autofill enabled means less quality games for all. And the only thing it causes is that you will flame at the person who got filled as a role he's not familiar with, or if you're the one filling, you'll probably perform sub-par.

Show Riot autofilling isn't the solution, it's just the best way to create 90% negative experience and 10% practice in a new role.

It's honestly really funny that before the new champion select people would essentially be autofilling if they didn't get a high order pick, and nobobdy had any huge complaints about it. They just respected the order most of the time.

But now since people have gotten the taste of only two roles, as soon as they are given anything different they throw a fit.

I do see your point and to an extent I agree with you. But I also see the counter of it that allowing only 2 roles means that each player can actually play the champions they enjoy.

Think of old school Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter or anything - wouldn't it suck if you can't pick who you fight as? What if you couldn't even pick what group you can select from?

Personally I enjoy support even though I can do just about any role (I am not strong on many midlane champs though), but I still would enjoy being able to pick the role I want to play, then I can actually play the game I want. You have to admit it's pretty a different experience in each role with some of them being greatly different than others. If I load up LoL and I want to play a damage-heavy dominating champion because I want to smash things then I can pick ADC or Top, but if I end up as support... there's only so much smashing I can do because damage-heavy dominating champions normally aren't good support.

I think the auto-fill shouldn't kick in as quick and should be enabled/disabled by the player. Personally I'd leave it enabled (I normally just enjoy playing in general, a random experience is a bit fun) and others will turn it off. I don't think a significant portion would turn it off though. A large amount sure, but not significant.

I'm all for having only two roles. Its just the humor of the situation stood out.

You've said it yourself. People that don't play support in the new draft haven't gotten the role in months. Suddenly being autofilled support, especially in a ranked game, when you haven't even played it in the past months does nothing but make the game less competitive because you'll never be giving your fullest in an autofilled role.
