Can you do something with Sona already?

As far as my knowledge goes, we've been getting promises of Sona improvements for close to 19 months:

All we've gotten in that time is nothing, but nerfs and many other various severe setbacks. Her entire patch history since the beginning of this game is completely devoid of actual buffs.

I won't believe they'll ever make a positive change to her until it actually happens.

dont ask for sona changes she'll either get ridiculous buffs (ex. veigar) or nerfs

I'm starting to lose faith.

Supports are supposed to be equipped to make and diffuse situations. Sona can do neither of these on her own. She can't engage in team fights at all outside of Flash, and she can barely disengage. All she has is the threat of...her lousy Q. She's mechanically simple, but in practice is tough as nails being such a gimped support. No one I know thinks she's a decent pick. The only people that think she is are hopefuls and the uneducated on the forums. I've been playing this champ all ranked season, but after it ends, I might just give up the ghost. I'm tired of feeling like I'm walking gold to competent opponents.
