Can I get a loss forgiven?

I understand you can win 4v5 and 3v5 games but at the same time, it isn't fair that I am losing LP because 3 of my teammates quit, all before mid game.

Why should I be punished because my certain people on my team wanted to lose? There's no reason why I am losing LP because the mid/adc/top/etc wanted to quit. Take away their LP not mine, I didn't do anything wrong. Sure, I lost but what am I supposed to do when the whole other team acts like a team and mine is acting like they can do whatever they want?

This is so dumb, I'm not gonna complain that it's the reason I'm at this league or whatever but it doesn't make sense why people like that aren't punished. I shouldn't lose games because others on my team wanted to since the beginning, but I do and it's incredibly frustrating especially when you're in or near your promotions, which is another problem but that's a different thread.

people who say you can win a 4v5 are idoits. if riots ranked system does what its designed to do its pairs you with an even team with an equal chance to win. if you lose a player there teams are no longer equal

we lost the game 15 min later. we litelly had an inhib down and both thier base turret below half hp, we had NEVER lost a teamfight all game.

and then the afk makes us lose.

not only should i not get a loss.. i should get a WIN

you CAN NOT win 4v5 if riot matchmaking did the job it was supposed to do.

yes if you a plat player smufing in bronze you can win a 4v5. but in any game where the team are EVEN, or even SLIGHTLY even you cannot win a 4v5.

to WIN a 4v5 means that riot basiclaly made the opponents team totally screwed before the game even started. and while that does occasionally happen. MOST if the time it happens it is because people are smufing. which DOES NOT COUNT, because your _intentionally _ cheating the system.

It's not hard to win 4v5 . simply turtling and catching people out. He'll if I can win a game with my nexus having 20 hp left you can win anything

if riot gives loss forgiveness for things like this then people would abuse it. even in small windows of chance people would still abuse it.

some people use to glitch the game to stop a loss. Riot to their credit started patching and fixing this. Example- item 3077 glitch. some people used the champion off screen glitch. example- Xerath shooting his skill shot off screen

people would DDOS people to reset the match and make it go away. riot has been correcting these issues as best as they can.

but for them to implement an actual in game function to forgive this it would be a stretch for them to do.

The struggle is real.

Like, seriously. They refuse to implement so many different solutions to so many different problems just because (god forbid) the players abuse it. How could you abuse a one time loss prevented? Like, really.

you know before they madebard i might believe that.. but they just proved that they are willing to make a champ that can intentionally grief other players so easily that i see no downside to giving loss prevented to a 4v5

the game ALREADY reds out the name of the player who left and prevents you form honoring him. they ALREADY know when he left and if it made a difference. its not that hard to make the game loss prevented.

So basically it's just not happening because it can be exploited? What isn't exploited in this game? Especially if you crack down on the exploiters, it shouldn't matter.

Have the AFKs lose LP not the rest of the team who tried to win the game. Or why not implement a system where people of the same number of reports from the same issue are grouped up together? Instead of those with clean records or barely reported have to play with people who are known for AFKing or negative attitude? It would take away the need for loss forgiven and encourage people to play or play better.

It's not just that this system can be exploited. It's just that mostly everyone can and would exploit it. Just play with others/friends who are willing to tank the LP loss whenever the team is losing.

Botting would also skyrocket since people need fresh new level 30 accounts to tank LP losses after going AFK. Riot can't even handle the current botting issues in the first place.

I agree, AFKs should be punished, but this system of giving out loss forgiven due to AFKs has be restated on the forums hundreds of times and the fact is that a system like that will never work.

This is easily solved you just have to punish the players that duo or party with the player that leaves.

How would you exploit? AS far as I know, getting a "loss prevented" isn't getting you any closer or farther away from promotion. It's like the game never happened. And Riot could implement a program to not do so if the person who quit the ranked game queued with you or is in your friends list. You would still lose LP if you queued with someone and they quit mid-way through. It would prevent people from exploiting it, even if it means that the person who dropped out had a loss of power or something. It could also be programmed in that the team that was not part of the duo-queue wouldn't lose LP if this happens in the game. Idk, tho. I'm not an expert. Just my 2 cents on the topic.

Not really. You still lose LP if you have a dc or afk. The LP loss system doesn't take afks or dcs into account when you lose. It doesn't do anything that i listed above.

You'd much less LP for one power failure than you'd lose for all those games with a leaver on your team.

well my LP lose is like 10 so id say if i had to take every ones lp lose it be like 15 from each "i hear a lot have -20lp" 4x15+ my 10 = 70 lp a lose so to make that LP loss fair i'll have to lose around 7 games and have someone leave everyone of them "also for me i have yet to have someone leave/afk in a ranked game i did however have a few Dcs but they came back So is it fair if they lose there lp because comcast "upgraded" there internet with out telling them

things happen, and I to have very few issues with leaving/afk in ranked. It definitely happens more in normals, but ranked it rarely does. People don't realize that the ISP's are actualy a bigger reason for this as they throttle connections due to all the streaming of games/movies from the millions of people that do this everyday.

There is no real way to fix 4v5's.. games have tried this before.. when you figure out the system you either AFK around the rules to not be picked up.. or you afk on purpose to cause a Loss prevention. The ranked system works fine, afks dont happen enough to stop anyone from getting anywhere.

I played a Normals game with my brother a few months back. He was Jinx and I was jungle.

when the game started our supp, top, and mid didn't load.

the game lasted 27 minutes and not a single one of them ever loaded the game in that time. He and i spent the entire match roaming and when it ended we got this. but like i said. 3 team mates never connected in half an hour and it was only normals.

Also. that Thresh build straight meta breaking.

You knowingly go into games knowing this is possible, Riot doesn't owe you anything for it other then to continue reducing how often it happens. They do not have to go give you a loss forgiven of any kind.
