Option to increase the size of the MiniMap

The max size of the MiniMap is still smaller than I would like. There is a way to increase the size beyond the “Max” by editing the PersistentSettings.json file but according to a Riot support ticket editing that file could result in an account being banned. I propose first that they increase the max size of the MiniMap to at least double it’s current max. I also propose that if a editing a file is a ban-able offense it shouldn’t be stored locally, or if it is, it should not be written in plain English (encrypt or lock the file). Something so easy to edit shouldn’t be ban-able.

There is a way to increase the size by directly editing the conf file. It's not immediately obvious but it's relatively straightforward after 5 minutes of research. Don't have the link at hand right now but I trust you can find it yourself.

I guess you didn’t read the post. Riot position is they reserve the right to ban accounts for editing those file.

My bad, I did quickly browse the OP, but apparently not attentively enough. I'm off work now, so I've got a bit more time.

That being said, with all due respect: that's bullshit. The support person just took the easy way out because they didn't want to look into it precisely, but editing this .conf file has been mentioned by Rioters themselves multiple times on these boards. It's not official/supported, as in, if you mess up, it's your own problem to solve (but it isn't hard, just delete the file, that restores the settings to default), but it's not bannable.

(Also, technically, Riot reserves the right to ban you at will. They don't need any justification at all, if they want, they can. Yeah, modern EULAs are shitty. But this won't be the trigger.)
