So Bronze vs Diamond is a fair match up just because we're both in 5 premade teams?

As a player that plays normal games 90% of the times (for the past 4 years) this is something that is really starting to annoy me. So for Riot, if you queue up as a 5 premade team (where the highest elo is a gold player) and you get matched against another 5 premade team made up mostly by plats and diamonds , that's fair? But it's not fair to be matched against a non-premade team even if their overall Elo matches perfectly the Elo of your team? How is that even reasonable? Getting stomped by high elo players is not fair just because we're both in 5 (or even less) premade groups (and thus the matchmaking breaks completely). This was a rare occasion in the past, so i was fine with it. But now it has been happening in every single match in the past months. I can't enjoy the game anymore.

It's because normal games are not connected with ranked games.

In ranked you could be seriously a challenger (or w/e OP tier there is), yet because you don't play normals it takes you as a newborn player incapable of using spells and moving at the same time.

To fix that:

Let your score from ranked be copied to normals.

Honestly this scenario varies heavily, some teams have practiced their teamwork A LOT and them being a 5 man premade can be a huge advantage, although most people don't do that,it's still an issue.

being in a 5 man is an advantage and should be counted as such, though probably not enough to go bronze vs diamond.

Anyway according to these boards all bronzes are challengers stuck due to feeder teams so it actually shouldn't be a problem.

If you queue as 5, you do not have my sympathy.

You want to stomp teams of 1-1-1-1-1 with your organized team, except you got queued against another organized team... as it should be. Dynamic queue should never have removed/replaced solo queue.

It's more fair than getting a group of 5 solo queue folks stomped by a premade. Aren't you supposed to be having fun with your friends? If your only goal was to win then stop being bad and win.

Dynamic Queue is just normals anyway

I can agree with OP's opinion that it is unfair to match teams only based on whether they are a 5s team or not. If there are no 5 man teams within your level, you shouldn't be forced to play teams that much better than you. With that said, let me recall an experience I had...

I was playing ranked 3s with some friends. We were in Gold I. We ended up playing a challengers team. That means that they were 4 full tiers above us. Obviously, they wiped the floor with us...BUT it taught me a lot playing against them. I added them as my friends and still occasionally ask them questions about the game.

It has nothing to with only matching 5s with other 5s.

It's just that ranked mmr is different than norMal mmr.

In my group of people we have a challenger and we routinely get grouped with all silvers and maybe a gold.

Because he's only played like 50-100 normals in his 5 year career.

I have the same issue, vve are a five man, unranked, most of us only have one mastery five+, I'm vvorking on lv.6 Thammy boy, and vve get stuck vvith GOLD to silver premades. TVVO OF OUR FIVE ARE ONLY 22, our highest is a 47, and one of us is 37. THESE GUYS ARE 114-1130. VVe've lost 20+ player matches on a losing streak, the only times vve've vvon, is vvhen vve have gone in BOTS.

Just deal with it. Matchmaking has always been super flawed and ignoren by Riot.

Whenever we end up in these matchups, we do the best we can. But when at 20 mins, the Dia-Toplaner has 8-1 against our "I want to practice Nidalee"-Silver Player, we usually just say GG@20 and queue for the next match, in which hopefully the system won't fuck up as badly.

I have never, with or without this new Queue, had this problem. The closest I've came to this is a Diamond guy duoing with someone to teach them, or if my normals mmr reaches that of a bad Diamond player. To be honest, when this happens it's a good thing. I can look at the Diamond guy and see where he wards, when he goes in, etc etc.

That's why I don't use dynamic queue for ranked.

Eh, I've been queueing solo for normals games and getting diamonds since level 17....that was my first Riven game, and got a mirror matchup against a D5 Riven main on his main acc. Lmao.
