I tried really hard on my ranked promos and went 8-2 and got placed in bronze5. What is the point in even having promos or even trying if im just automatically gonna get stuck at the bottom

What rank were you last season? That has an effect on where you'll be

Seeing as you dropped to bronze 3, It is no surprise, almost 100% of the time, you will be lower than where you left be 2 or more divsions.

Bronze or silver last season will net you bronze this season for sure.

Not really, for Silver at least. I ended season 5 in Silver II and was placed Silver III in season 6. So it depends on how good your MMR is overall really. But if you are Bronze, there's a 100% chance you are going to be low Bronze.

it's a reset with a new system, thats why people are complaining cause they are basing it off the old system.

But its not a new system. Its the same as it always has been. The only new part is the Flex queue has a bit of building to do on your MMR. The Solo/Duo is the same queue we had in 2014. So, people that are placed lower are just because they rushed into it. Like mine, I've placed Silver III twice in a row. So pretty sure I'll be place mid Silver again this year when I get around to Solo.

You were bronze last season, there's 100% chance you are low bronze this season.

the only way you would have placed higher is if you played during preseason. I finished S6 B1. I played to B1 again during preseason and was placed B3 for season7.I think I went 6-4 or 7-3 for my matches.
