MatchMaking

Don't know if it's just me but i'm getting really sick of matchmaking lately. I get that you should play with people around your skill level to make the game fair and fun but isn't that what ranked is for? Doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of having ranked matches and regular matches if you're going to play against the same people regardless of which you choose. I don't want to put my try hard pants on every game. Playing a regular game nowadays feels like playing a ranked game and honestly makes it less fun, because again i have to take the game seriously every game. What if i want to try something new or just feel like dicking around a game. Another thing that bothers me is the fact that I don't get my ass handed to me anymore. Now this might sound a little ridiculous but here me out. Back when i started playing the game i was overwhelmed with the selection because let's be honest there's a shit load of champions. One thing that helped me back then and even now decide on new champions to play was watching other people play them. If i got singlehandedly destroyed by a champion it made me want to learn that champion, but with the way matchmaking is set up now i'm less interested in studying how other people play and more with winning. It's gotten to the point where i almost completely avoid playing regular games especially if i'm trying to get my points (first win). They're easier, take a significantly less time and are less stressful. I would love to be able to play and regular game and get my points but because of matchmaking i might as well play a ranked game. I remember playing a game the other day that lasted well over 60min. Now i'm not saying throw beginners in with diamonds because that's completely unfair. I just don't want to be playing against diamond level people every single game. Shits not fun plain and simple but hey maybe that's just me.
