How to avoid throwing a game?

I just played a game in which I was doing decent on Nasus, about 8/2 and I had decent stacks. I was pushing and trying to end the game. After an ace and basically when I tried to push down the nexus turrents,my team was always doing something else. Like farming, taking blue buff. We ended up losing that game because my team wouldent push for shit. Then the enemy kassadin gets fed off our carries farming cs in bot lane. Then he starts 1 shotting. Guess what, my team still cant group mid. There is always more important things like cs bot lane. We ended up losing lane due to no group. Tilting ass game, that lost me another 17 lp.

So, any tips on how to avoid scenarios like this? (BTW, I was gold 2 season 7 and got placed S1 season 8 before getting demoted to S2 after a 5 game lose streak.)

Don't focus too much on what your teammates were doing, you can't control their decision making. You can communicate obviously, but there's not a whole lot more you can do if that's not working. Plus, there's always some aspect of your own play that can be improved.

Control what variables you can (your own play and mindset), and try not to tilt when variables outside of your control run their course and impact you negatively. Sometimes they affect you positively (enemy team is poorly organized and you win). That's pretty much all you can do man.

Well, I was trying to organize a push to win but the enemy would 4v1 me while kassadin would be running around picking up kills on Ezreal, and Brand. Nunu would try to help Ezreal and just end up feeding Kassadin more. So I was left with Nami who wasent doing to well. I tried to focus carries as Nasus like the sivir, but with a enemy thresh, Sejuani, and Kennen, its pretty much impossible. I was going full tank as well.

Maybe, Nasus is'nt a champion for me or something?
