Why is banning none an option?

I just don't understand why that's an option, especially in ranked. I've had teammates who banned none in ranked simply because they protested riots 10 ban system. If banning none is enabled in norms I don't think that as much of an issue since normal's are generally less competitive, but i don't see the reason for it in ranked. If anyone has a post from riot about it that'd be nice!

Because Faker needed a legit ban.

Some people just don't ban a champion because they're not afraid to go against a certain matchup that would be considered hard or don't really have any matchup they struggle with.

For me personally I would use a none but I would usually ban out Caitlyn or Zac for the benefit of my team.
