The block option and how it doesn't work

If you mute a player in game then for the rest of the game you won't receive another message from that player for the rest of the game. That is until you get into the post game lobby and the option undoes itself and you listen to everything that player wants you to hear until you block them.

However, when you block a player that player will not speak with you for the rest of your time in lobby and any game following.

Now Riot, you always tell your players that you want to improve player's with negative attitudes yet when I block someone from a previous game and they show up not once but twice in a row, all i can say is that you are intentionally trying to create strife. There should be a window of time before you match us with players we put on the block list.

If you really want people to show more team work and create a positive attitude then you should at least grant us that much. My attitude won't improve if the person who cause my positive mood to be ruined shows continuously game after game.

tl;dr Create a system that won't match players who were just put on a block list from playing the next couple games with targeted blocker...

But if Riot did that, then I could literally never get a game. I mean, I'm practically on a mission these days to block the entire community simply because of how toxic, childish, trollish, and bad-mannered they are, both in-game and in chat.

I enjoy my games much more when no one says anything, they just play the game. I'm constantly given chat restrictions for my apparent "toxic language" (since I never afk, intentionally feed, assist the enemy team, or in general troll my team in any way), and the message this sends to me is: "don't talk at all", not "pick better choice of words".

But yes, I do wish when you muted someone in a game, it kept them blocked until such time you remove it yourself, instead of having to listen to their rubbish about you being "salty" or whatever after a game ends.

Just because you mute someone in game doesn't mean you don't want to play games with them, nor does it mean you want to block them. There is this thing called "tilt". Most people don't have it every game.

It's not the mute option I am talking about but the actual ignore/block option post game.

I do agree with you, yet it would be nice if it was only for the next game or such. I understand people change and it may have been just that one game yet it generally isn't in my case.

I use the mute button a lot yet i know what you mean as per the "salty" comment. I receive that a lot because i voice my opinion about how others do and when they simply laugh at my constructive criticism then it turns it the blame game.

I am all for playing as a team player yet when you get in a game with someone who doesn't exhibit the same drive as you... It just gets boring. I play the game with the intention of winning and I am sure that is the generally mindset of most of league yet there are some out there that just "wanna have fun" which in terms means playing however they like without regard to the team...
