Sick of op tanks... add some balance... full magic pen runes, All magic pen items available on karthas and ult hits full tank maokai for 225 of his 5k+ HP and he he hits me, with full tank gear for 600 of my 2200 HP.... balance this... or you lose someone who spends a lot of money in your store....... its stupid.

And there is your problem, you had no damage items. And he probably had a ton of magic resist.
Tanks have countered mages since the dawn of fantasy pvp games, just saying.

(or any boots) you should be able to kite him. Use your wall if they get too close and when they are low enough you can finish it with a combo of a constant E + Q.
Never get close enough that a tank can attack you, they might not do much but you are squishy and they survive long enough that the damage will build up.
