Nautilus [Need to confirm these] Titan's Wrath (W) value lowered to 65/70/75/80/85 from 100/150/200/250/300 Titan's Wrath (W) now scales on 7/9.5/12/14.5/17% of Nautilus's MAX HEALTH from 15% of his BONUS Health

NERF??? NO sir, that means stack HP and become an unkillable God Machine.

Well, looks like the base value got lowered, but he now scales with MAXIMUM health instead of Bonus health, so it might even out some; granted I don't play Nautilius, so I wouldn't know.

What are you talking about? Are there PBE changes for him?

Nautilus is very viable right now, he can start blue > wolves > red > chickens > recall.

Then buy the following:

item 3713 + item 2003x3 + item 2043.

Then you go Poison Frog > Gank bot lane > Ward river (Banana) > Gank Mid lane.

Then, etc.

Edit: this is Red/Purple side.

Edit2: forgot to say - Need the AS quints.

It's a bit of a nerf early on when hes already fairly squishy but scales harder later

So idk if it's a buff overall considering he doesn't really have trouble late game to begin with

Even if it HAS been rebalanced it still suffers from one fatal flaw. It's his only source of legit DPS as well as being his main defensive anti-poke tool. So long as that big chunk of his damage is tied to a shield that is rather crappy early he's going to suffer as an initiator. He blows his load, takes damage for it, then relies 100% on his team to do the rest because his damage is gone and on a 10 second+ cooldown.

The max health scaling is a step in the right direction but because it scales on such a weird slope and has such a garbage base it makes him even more inconsistent. Early on in jungle he's still going to lose his shield to those vicious Krugs or Raptors and thus almost all of his damage. Rank 2-4 is going to be even worse unless he rushes something like Juggernaut or a Giant Belt. Rank 5 is still not as good as it used to be based on his base health alone. Of course by then a Nautilus with a brain will have built health and then and only then does it get SLIGHTLY stronger. The change is meant to make his shield's strength scale into the late game to make him a wrecking ball in teamfights that you REALLY don't want to focus but have to....at least until the shield is gone. So long as Titan's Wrath retains those janky base numbers and scalings he's not going to be much tougher until he's got lots of health items and that should only kick in late game when damage often means more than tankiness.

I know i'm not alone when I vouch for his DoT to persist through his shield's destruction. You could make him have the biggest self shield in the game and he'd still be rather weak in skirmishes and team fights because just a little bit of focus and Nautilus is swinging a wet noodle at the speed of smell. Shoot, just look at his damage numbers on Titan's Wrath. Who thinks that's insane damage? Sure it adds up over time, but doesn't everything from auto attacks add up?

I'm also seeing red now that I saw that change. Glad that i'm not the only one.

that's a lot better. bonus health ratio encourages health stacking and health stacking sucks.

I feel like the max health scaling turns this into a buff, not a nerf.

Destínum12/16/2014, 11:00:29 PM1 votes

I did the maths, taking Nautilus base health into consideration, and it's a slight buff at rank 1 (even at level 1), a nerf at rank 2, 3 and 4, and a buff at rank 5 at level 11 (not considering items. If you do, it's most of the time a buff on all levels at rank 5).

So no, they didn't nerf it. They rebalanced it. Next time, maybe you should do the math too before saying something has been gutted?

Hello, season 2 called. They said they want their cheesy warmog stacking back. You know what's problematic with health stacking? ------------------>item 3153
