Warwicks ult hitbox starts behind you?

Warwick is supposed to be a diver, easy way to get into a fight, hard time leaving it.

I think that is the reason why they made the hitbox of his ult at the starting point more generous. To prevent it being a good escaping tool. If the enemy stays close to you, they are able to prevent you ulting away to leave the fight.
