"Attitude determines your altitude"
I'm 32 yrs old. I've been playing this game off and on for about 2yrs. I had a wood-grain Atari; An IBM Tandy with 256k RAM that I had to write QBASIC code in to play games that I found in magazines (that computer cost about $2k back then which is like $4.5k now) , Wolfenstein 3D and everything since. If I really wanted to, I could find out where you live, check out your porn collection and take out some credit cards in your name. I'm way past that, tho. I have more important things to do. All I'm saying is, I ain't new to this shit. I just don't have the time, or even the will, to practice this game like it's a fucking professional sport. Most people just take it wayyyy too seriously. Bitching and moaning, blaming their teammate for everything, and whatdoes that accomplish? Except putting yourself in a bad mood... Win or lose, you're supposed to be having fun. As well as you can play, some things are pure chance, rolling the dice. Especially late game.
Regardless of skill, or how the game is going, your team's attitude can change everything. More than a few times, I've been down 3-4 turrets and 15+kills and come back to win it... and that feels way better than mowing them down to a 20min surrender. If your team got some sense, and can survive till 18/full build, it's anyone's game. That survival all depends on attitude, tho... and adapting to the game play. Changing your build. Or sometimes the meta is just fucked up and you'll do well laning, but yall don't stand a chance in a team fight. Not a whole lot you can do about it at that point, (maybe sneaking thru the jungle to backdoor some inhibs), but what's the point in crying about it and blaming people? It serves no purpose, except to defeat your team's morale; and make yourself feel bad... Team morale is everything, just look at sports. The best sportsbooks only get it right like 55% of the time. More than a few times, I got so OP jungling while a bish was trying to surrender, that I ended up carrying the team to victory. Mowing down turrets and following piss-trails. Don't ever ever ever give up. I can't help to think that these people suck at life if they haven't learned that yet. Life ain't always gonna go your way, especially not how you planned it...Release from the ego. You won't always be the most skilled or advantaged player on the board, but your attitude can sink a ship or work a miracle.
Think twice before you start blaming others and taking that defeatist attitude. Believe, encourage, and see what happens. Even if you lose, you might: learn something; teach something; gain the respect of your opponents/teammates; and/or walk away with it having fun regardless... with a smile on your face. Happiness is your life's goal, anyway, right?
