Should new released champions be allowed in ranked right away?

Should there not be a waiting period were they are only available in normal play, for a week or two after release to allow players to use and learn them before bringing them into ranked? It seems that after a champion release everyone uses these champions in random roles or does not know how to use them and it just causes conflict...

They get banned , but I had a Kai adc and I was supp she went like 2 and 14 of course it was my fault not her garbage build . But who cares if they get used it's not like people feed on any champ anyway

I don't care about toxicity because the mute button exists, but I know RIOT does, and I think this would be a good way to cut down toxicity. No one knows how to play a new champ right away, even with PBE, so it seems reasonable to issue a one week ban on new champions in ranked so people can adjust to them in normals. There would be less feeding, and as a result, less flaming.

I think they should be allowed, and here's why:

People can, if they choose, spend lots of time learning the champion on PBE in order to gain an edge on others when they are released on live. Sure people will feed because they just wanna play the new champ, but honestly, if they are feeding on a new champion they would probably be feeding on any other champion in the same role. There is nothing mechanically new about about Kai'sa, it's just a shuffling around of existing abilities with different values and behaviors attached to them.

Most high elo players ONLY play ranked so it would be a detriment to them if new champions weren't allowed to be played in Ranked on day 1. Having said that, most players in general are in Silver/Bronze and they have no fooking clue how to play the champ and causes 4 players to lose LP (or promos) because of them. I feel like should have to play 1-3 normals (depending on your elo bracket) b4 allowing them for Ranked.

Yes, of course they should.

Barring them on launch sets a bad precedent to allow for things like not allowing champions a player has less than 20 games on, or not allowing champions a player has a low winrate with.

The only characters that should be banned are the ones stricken during the banning phase.
