So I went 4-6 in my provisionals, and only went negative in two of my games. The other 8 I did well. Even in those two I had a good kda because I had a lot of assists. I finished last season in promos to go to bronze 1. Somehow this season I got placed in bronze 5! Please someone explain this to me. The Paulrus1 votesIt's largely based on your last season placement finish and the teamcomps of both you and your opponents when you win and lose. If those games you won, you won over bronze 5s, and just barely, you won't see much movement. If you lost to a team of bronze 5s, you'll go down quite a bit. If you lose to plats, you'll go down less because you're expected to lose, but if you win, you'll go up more.
There's a lot of golds/plats being put in bronze to start, so going down 3 ranks, not a big deal comparatively.
xXMrClutchXx1 votesThe thing is I looked up the games on lolnexus and almost everyone I played was silver, because I have silver MMR. But yea going down 3 ranks is better than going from gold to bronze.
