Here are a few things to know.
League is a game full of millions of accounts... 68% of them are in Bronze or Silver. The ranking system is stupid tbh compared to other games. If your MMR gets too low, you will actually need a 60%+ win rate to even climb out. People in Silver and even Gold, can win consistently in bronze but to get higher than a 60% is actually pretty difficult. So what we're left with, is a bunch of players who are at a higher level, to hold their own.. but not high enough level to carry 4 bad players on a consistent basis.
I am a Diamond player, and I can basically win most bronze and silver games on a consistent basis. Back in the day, I was in gold and would go on a bronze smurf and do very well but I would still manage to lose a decent amount of games even though I personally was doing everything. Winning my lane, and then helping out struggling lanes.
Some things to do to actually climb:
- Don't solo queue. It's honestly like rolling the dice for a W/L. If you get stuck with bad teammates, sometimes you just cannot carry them
- Dodge, if you don't mind waiting. Look your teammates up on op.gg. If they have lost 10 games in a row with scores like 1-15, chances are you want to dodge that. Also, avoid playing with high skill cap champions in low elo. (Lee Sin, Kalista, etc)
- Stick to 1 champion and 1 role: You're not in the LCS, don't try to counter pick. in ranked.. bring your BEST, thats what ranked is.. to see what ranked your best is.
GL, try not to be toxic.
