Why doesn't Kassadin have magic resistance per level?

I was wondering, every other melee champ seem to have that. It makes the purpose of his passive kinda trivial. Another similar example I can think of is Sion hp per level being one of the lowest if not the lowest of all champs. Which makes his W passive half-witted.

Because of his passive and he is super mobile - he used to have mr per level then they took it away, was never documented for when he got it and when they took it away, also kassadin's passive is not countered by magic resist which makes it far more superior than having magic resist

also Sion still has the most health out of anyone so his passive is not at all trivial

Maokai has the same problem Passive is called sap MAGIC Q is called ARCANE smash No MR per level I'm sure there's a reason for it

Kassadin passively reduces all magic damage he takes by 15%, and his Q grants a magic shield.

As for Sion, he very easily ends up with more HP than others if you're good at CSing, particularly large minions for the 10 HP per kill.

Because his passive is essentially a reverse true damage defense aganist magic damage.

It will reduce magic damage by 15%(was it 15?) no matter what the enemy does.

Kassadin's passive already gives him Magic resist
