Just wondering why everyone I know is getting mystery gifted champs and skins by Riot? Variable amounts too, one friend got an alistar skin while my other got 4 champs. Anyone know the reasoning for this? Neither me or my brother have received anything.

It looks like players a receiving notifications for past gifts/rewards they have already received. It's not that they are getting gifts in this moment, but rather being re-notified of gifts past.
