My Biggest Issue with leaver buster AFK Penalty

So i was just in a game as

At about 3rd camp clear my computer freezes and says "Thread Stuck in driver, device restarting"

Ok. This happens about once a week if I'm unlucky and I'm able to get my comp back up within 5 mins and connected back. I continue to play the game and do well and catch up and am able to become the strongest player on our team.

We finish the game with a surrender because my team had lost faith and quit. SO even though I am able to reconnect, after the game "you have been placed in a low priority Q for recent AFK behavior"

So I see this. Im pretty pissed right. So i just want to ask, why if i reconnect do I still get the penalty. I was active for most of the game yet I still get punished. WHY [slayer-jinx-unamused]
