Im confused about DUOQ

So when someone on my team is DUOQ, the enemy team inherently gets an MMR boost. So, in theory, the duoq team on my team could be absolute trash, which is usually the case, but the enemy team gets players with a higher MMR than average, relative to my elo, so my other soloque teammates and I have to deal with that?..
