I was sick of losing lane to garen so I decided to play him for a few games, and tbh now that I know how he works fully ive been able to win lane a lot v garens but some people insist he is way to over powered never dies and does insane damage? But of that's the case why isn't he played in professional games ? I just need other people opinions and not from people who think he is a god.
Garen has fairly high stats but he has a lot of counter-play, so the higher bracket you reach, the less effective Garen will be... his biggest trump card is the villain mechanic which is tremendously conditional.
Garen does not need nerfs. He is balanced.
He's a really good pubstomper, easy to play and his counterplay is more macro oriented then 1v1, he punishes mistakes and he himself is very forgiving, solo Q warrior, especially with a passive that says "that guy pitting his team on his back, you deal true damage to him"
All these things aren't very valuable in pro play tho
he does what he does but not with overbearing amounts like lets say win nao atm
Garen is complete bs, I don't think it matters if Garen is "not overpowered" he is still straight up unfair. Oh hey, let's just do a boatload of damage, hope you are an AA champ otherwise you just have to take this beating like a chump. If you don't wanna burn flash, hope you're fine getting nuked.
I occasionally play Garen and feel almost as filthy playing it as I do AD Ezreal. It's just so easy to do well, and as the game goes on, you become harder and harder to deal with.
