i main Kat, sej, irelia, thresh, and lucian. i play all these champs very effectively.
So my advice would be this. Depending on where you're playing these champs, find some alternative options. There are really two ways to do this.
- Play the highest tiered champs in every role or
- Play a counter to those champs.
You don't take top tier because meta says so. You take top tier in Bronze because chances are you have a troll on your team and you need to help carry when they're trying to anchor.
I think Diana is a smart champ because she's tanky and an assassin. Beyond that, here are some problems. Thresh relies heavily on your ADC getting CS. But you're in Bronze and your ADC is more interested in blowing flash and ignite whenever the enemy ADC is at 50% HP. Thresh also isn't getting any armor by level. So don't pick him.
If you need tank supports, I'd go with Braum, Sejuani, or Volibear. (Freljord's finest). If you're going mage, I'd go with Zyra, Lulu, or Zilean. Not blanket. Take something that either compliments your ADC (Varus has no mobility so Zilean is a great compliment) or counters your ADC (Draven has no wave clear and is squishy so Zyra is great).
Having said all that, preference helps a great deal. So find somehting within the top tier that works with you. But in Bronze, you're fighting gravity so the best choice is always going to be the one you don't need a lot of help with. In fact the best thing Bronze strategies are always:
- Be willing to pick up another lane when someone autolocks and "takes" yours. Do not let pride get in the way. Go with a flexible champ.
- Ward/call MIAs/push towers three times more frequently than going for kills/Know that CS and towers matter a lot more than kills/dragon/baron.
- Be ready to dodge all the time. 5/30 minutes is better than 50 minutes of rage with a loss.
