the reason why comebacks are hard

macromite··3 votes·753 views

its because people gave up. when those people started giving up, games got shorter, when games got shorter, more people started giving up sooner, so on and so forth to today, where people are giving in way to early. of course it might not be you, but even if you are losing the only thing you should be doing is playing your best.

doing your best and not winning isn't failure, failure is only when you give up, because you won't get better if you give up.

I straight up agree. I've made MORE comebacks sonce the preseason came out. Even when I fall behind, the new gold income allows me to comeback sooooo much more easily when I play right.

I dont get why people think comebacks are not possible. Ive carried my team out of games when they wanted to give up, and even when I cant, I cs a lot and push towers and win.

glad to see other people care.

Or rather I'd not waste my time playing a game where there's less than 5% chance of winning.

Well... that is your opinion. You are entitled to the opinion, but you shouldn't force it upon your teammates by giving up.

You shouldn't fore your attitude on those who wish to give up.

I don't force them to give up so they shouldn't force me to play. If they want to play on, they play on, I won't.

you are pretty much agreeing that you will play with these people by not dodging the que. if you don't want to be held to that standard then don't play the game. even if you aren't having a blast, your team needs you.

You sound like such a loser.

Shall I get you a glass of water to wash away that salt?

I think you should probably keep that glass, you'll need as much of it as you can get for how much you have.

if you quit, you are now wasting 4 times the time than you would have had you just played.

Btw, have a downvote. Downvoting all who disagree and upvoting all those who do? Fucking petty.

It's not really a matter of simply giving up. Gone are the days of being down by a couple kills. Most games I play the winning team will be up 5+ kills by the 10 min mark. By 15 min they are 10+ and there is really no coming back from that.

5-10 kills isn't all that many so long as you can keep those towers together. i mean, you can't fight them anymore, but killing the enemy and killing the nexus are different things, and if you can force them into defensive plays you can really start to dig a knife into their sides by farming jungle and gaining power through that.

True. But towers and kills have gone increasingly hand-in-hand. Before it wasn't uncommon to be up on one and down on another. Now the same side often has both.

the counter to that is to have a heavy attack on the position opposite of the losing lane. this will either equalize or generate a lead.
