What's wrong with dynamic queue?

I, like many others, only play solo queue. The difference between me and the rest is that I don't see a difference in matchmaking whatsoever. All my matches from previous seasons feel the exact same as this season. Dynamic queue is exactly like the normal queue from previous seasons: queue up with up to 4 friends. Was anyone complaining about matchmaking for normal queues? No. The talk about getting screwed with the worse pre-made is lame. Isn't that what solo queue is? Whoever gets the better solo players wins? The one problem with dynamic queue is that people FEEL as if they are getting cheated. They think that they are getting screwed over just because they aren't using the capabilities of dynamic queue. Riot isn't forcing us to band together with friends at all; soloing is still an option. I encourage others to stop hating on dynamic queue and enjoy it for what it is.

You almost listed the problem yourself. In old solo queue, whoever had the best player had the highest chance of winning. And assuming you tried your best, your chance of being the best player was greater than 1 out of 10. Meaning you could highly affect the flow of the game. However, if you queue up solo, your chance of being the best pre-made is 0%. And the best pre-made is what determines the match the vast majority of the time.

Likewise on the other end, the worst player in solo queue also was the biggest likelihood that a team would lose. And by simply doing everything in your power to not be the worst player, you could make the chances of the enemy having that player 5 out of 9, while your team having it would only be 4 out of 9. In dynamic queue, it's the team with the worst pre-made that has the highest chance of losing, and if you queue up solo, you have 0 say in that

Basically, the old solo queue system allowed you to have a much higher influence in the outcome of the game meaning you could increase your chance of winning well past 50%. Dynamic queue is determined by the pre-mades a vast majority of the time, so as a solo queue player, your chances of winning are far closer to 50% than with the old system.

Premades.

There are only two problems I have.

  1. When solos are against premades, coordination is op.
  2. Queue times are longer.
