I've tried to find out if Trists bomb counted as CC but i cant find anything that points to her bomb being a CC, which if it was, the Battle Roar would cleanse it, but i dont think it's a form of CC, so i dont understand, can anyone help out?
IF Rengar's empowered W is clearing Tristana's bomb then it's a bug

It's a debuff technically.
Because Riot Games Coding, with how they code, it doesn't do to read the ability really for most things to get a good general idea of how it should work. It's more of a trial by fire figuring out what abilities do and do not behave in certain ways.
For instance, plenty of periods of time see Tryndamere being able to be killed in ult... soooo lord freaking knows. Probably a bug that'll just stay forever though.
the might of his lion king roar disarms any bomb. why else do you think it does damage.
