Hextech clarity for Preseason and Questions

So i read about the Q&A for preseason and came across the Hextech. Just a bit confused when riot said "champion shards, skin shards and etc" does that mean any existing skin shards e.g. battlecast cho & championship kala in my inventory. Will become voided or automatically disenchanted into orange essence. What if i want to keep them for next season. Same with champion shards, only got a few right now, does this mean the existing champion shards in my inventory will automatically be disenchanted into BE?

Just a slight confused on the hextech although knowing the rough sketch of whats coming LOL.

No they will not be automatically disenchanted, however if you don't want them, it's in your best interest to disenchant them now, because once it changes over, they will disenchant for significantly less.
