Pointless position ranking if they just promote me when I play a different lane.

My point isn't "please stop giving me free promotions", but I was excited about the new rank system and now I'm just not.

What happened: I don't play enough to climb, but I wanted to at least get my lanes into silver. Got placed in bronze as support, got to B1 and was having a hard time getting LP as support at this elo so I went to top for a bit. Got my top to S4 and went back to support...won one game and got promoted to silver.

Why that is wrong: The reason I was excited to play ranked in the new system is simple. I wanted to feel like everybody on my team was qualified for the rank they are in. But if what happened to me happens to others, this is definitely NOT the case. If you get someone who one-tricks their way into gold, then wants to play another role, there's a VERY good chance they're going to hard-lose but they're going to get put into your game even though they're NOT qualified for it.

In a game where the WORST player decides who wins, I'd like for my worst player to not get put there b/c of what they did in other lanes.

I'd also like to be the worst person on my team.
