that knockup was a fundamental part of his kit,now you're just asking to die if you e into a champion

Bull Elnuk1 votesIt's not that you use the knock up itself as an engage, it was half of his duelling potential. Being able to disrupt the enemy for as long as it did gave him time to get in another auto with his soldiers, which late game was about 300-500 dmg, plus the shield. it was also a core part of his kit in terms of receiving ganks. Standard procedure was to dash into the enemy, knock them up, giving you time to get behind them and ult them back to your tower, you just can't do that now without burning flash. 
LaowPing1 votesIt definitely made him strong but for the most part I still don't feel like he needed. In my opinion, some's who's so good at poke shouldn't be good at dueling. He's so safe when played correctly and does so much damage, with an ult that pushes people right where he wants them, he should have some weakness.The typical counter to poke is hard engage, which he also counters. Sure, he's more vulnerable to ganks but that's normal for a lot of champions and it should be for him since his laning phase is so strong. You can still just E back to your tower if you need too.
