There's an issue in the League community which I believe stems from Youtubers. Youtubers edit their videos and cherry pick highlight clips, making them appear to just stomp everything 24/7. Players who watch them tend to believe this is how you play. If they're not doing this in a given game, or if they've been lead to believe they won't (they were denied their go-to pick, or the opponent counters them, or whatever), they just chalk it up as a wash and don't bother trying, wanting the game to end as fast as possible so they can try again.
