so last night i played 3 games in bronze 5. I will just say that i was astounded by what happened in each of those games. I wont act like i am a high ranking player or anything, im only s3 but the difference alone between low bronze and mid silver amazed me.. after being told on a few different occasions that silver and bronze are pretty much the same thing, i had to find out for myself. It just kinda blew my mind a little bit, how different those tiers actually are.

If they took minions out of the game, B5 players would honestly not notice. Hell, they'd probably be happy. No more pesky minions getting in the way.....

Silver 4-5 essentially very similar to bronze 1-2. Mid silver definitely different though.

i try to get this acc bronze 5 (by just farming not feeding, im not breaking any rules calm down i asked the riot support about this) and at the moment im b4... when you team has 1 lategame champ... you alrdy know its lost. they fight fight and fight 24/7 and always feed. i always thought (just like the OP) that bronze silver and gold is the same but holy shit... dont take this as an insult but some ppl in bronze 5 are worse than the easy bots.

Bronze 5 is a pretty "Special" tier. Personally I never fell that far, the closest was B3, but from what I can tell its a tier that is plagued with noobs and gloryhounds. Most will blindly chase down kills and join fights against foes that outmatch them. They often have trouble gauging the strength of enemies. I personally profile the bronze tier like so:

V: Has trouble learning the basics and is either unable to understand or too stubborn to admit that they are at fault for it.

IV: Understands the basics but is incredibly inconsistent with mechanics and decisions.

III: More consistent that IV but still pretty bad.

II: Consistent enough in mechanics that they may win early, but poor overall decisions and late game mechanics.

I: Highest consistency in bronze and has the potential to leave, but is held back by poor decisions and the requirement to cooperate .
