Explain this to me.
Can someone explain to me why LP is solely rewarded for winning/losing a game? Aside from the typical "this is a team game." nonsense. If this game is such a team game, why keep track of INDIVIDUAL kills/deaths/assists at all? I'm pretty sure Ranked Teams is where players should be rewarded on a Team basis. In Solo/Duo queue, individual performance should be rewarded, even if it's a minimal reward. That's not to say that ONLY KILLS should be rewarded.
Dunkey mentioned this in one of his videos before: Other things such as showing up to teamfights, placing wards, CS'ing well, taking objectives, etc. should be taken into consideration. As of right now, the only logical way to rank up is by going on lucky win streaks repeatedly. Personally, I feel like LP should be calculated based on Individual performance + Team performance. The amount of kills/deaths/assists, wards placed, should all be taken into account, and LP added into a pool along with Team performance, like taking objectives winning/losing, and then a final amount of LP should be calculated based on all of that. That doesn't mean if you lose a game, and ultimately lose X amount of LP, that if your individual performance was great that the LP for that would cancel out the LP you loss from losing. If you lose a game, you lose 20 LP, and then calculating how your individual performance was, if you did good, you get e.g.,5 LP, ultimately only losing 15 LP. So that way grinding Ranked games isn't absolutely tedious and you actually feel like you are doing something besides literally farming Ranked games.
I started playing this game last year, first time playing Ranked I got placed in Silver IV. I had fun with some different champs (Shyvana, Irelia), and immediately got bored with Ranked once I realized how it worked. I actually started playing ARAMs more than Ranked games because I felt no desire to play Ranked games over & over, only to go on either a lucky 5+ game win streak or an unfortunate losing streak, literally making the process of "ranking up" tedious and boring.
This is an honest to god, serious question. I'm not trolling, so don't flame me. I'm relatively new to Moba-esque games and don't really have any knowledge of how their ranking systems work. I truly don't believe anyone has a valid reason to argue against this or to defend the current Ranked system. It would benefit everyone.
