How to add decision making to crits

Part of the problem with critical strikes is that they are random and can alter the outcome of fights which makes it very hard to anticipate whether or not to engage in a fight in the first place. My proposal is this, make so that the game calculates whether or not your next AA will crit and then display an icon above the champion that can be seen by all people. This would mean that people can make decisions on whether they should fight or retreat based yourself's and your opponents next AA. In an extended fight it should have no difference because you have very little time to react to it however in short skirmishes it would dramatically increase decision making for both you and your opponent.

Because every single champion in a lane should be forced into crit runes so they have a crit ready to engage with, right? After all, if the opponent can see when they have a crit ready they know when to engage with a free 2x autoattack damage, which is at least 50 extra damage; you'd make the early game based on who gets a crit ready first and can then out bully the opponent.

I have analyzed different possibilities. Crit only Works as a random Mechanic. The Real change that needs to happen is a nerf to Crit Damage. A Critical Strike should be a lucky Break, not a game altering Mechanic.

... or, they could just remove that "lucky strike" completely since we have never rolled a d20 in this game nor played with the D&D rules to begin with.

Gangplank certainly approves of this idea, as it insures 99.99% of his Parrrleys will now critically strike.

Because even with fairly low crit chance, you'd essentially give every champion Caitlyn's passive. Every time they poke? crit. Every trade? starts with a crit.

Rather than 20% crit being ~20% more damage that might RNG to 15%~25% damage, you'd quickly cause crit to be 100% more damage all the time for poke.

Which would be a massive buff to all and every ranged champion capable of using crit. Marksman. Considering Marksman are part of every team comp but you can use a tank or mage or support as support, any melee as a jungler, mages or assassins as a mid, and just about anything as a top - I'm not sure I see marksman needing the help.
