Matchmaking is too diverse for a pick 2 system that doesnt prioritize.

To start off, I've only recently came back from a long break of about 6 months, and I've only been playing for about 3 days with the new dynamic queue and while my experience with it may be limited I still wanted to give my thoughts.

So if I had to pick my 2 preferred roles in ranked I would have to go with Jungle > Support, and here is where the biggest issue I seem to notice comes from. The system doesn't seem to prioritize Primary > Secondary. If I put Jungle > Support in and click Queue Up, I get support 100% of games. The playerbase Isn't spread out enough between roles for the system to simultaneously search for both jungle and support and give me even the slightest chance to get jungle. Which means my options before queueing up are either 1.) Support, or 2.) Jungle > Not Support (most likely Bot from my experience)

While I think Dynamic Queue has really great potential, It doesn't seem fit (in its current state) For it to be the only form of ranked play available without a major overhaul to how the system searches for your desired roles.

I have too many potential improvements for this to list with the little time I have to type this up but the simplest would be giving Primary a priority over secondary. If I put Jungle > Support then queue up, the system should at least check for jungle before popping up 3 seconds later with a support game.

One thing that I would love to see that extends on the priority searches is a change to the Fill option (since picking Fill = Picking Support) Is the option of a weighted search. such as a search where you can list your preferred roles from 1-5 and it will go down the list in order searching for an open game, that way those of us that actually enjoy playing multiple roles, but still have preferrences, have an option to pick that doesn't limit us to only support.

For those of you with more experience with dynamic queue than me, what do you think? What are your ideas on how this system should be/can be improved.

More ideas:

Riot has mentioned in the past adding bonuses to those whom pick fill, what are your opinions on a system that maybe gives yout priority [over other players] for your selected role after picking fill the game before. I feel like this would not only free up other roles because more people would pick fill, but also give those who actually main support the option for a free pass to play another role occassionally.

Changing the system to "Pick at least 2" rather then "Pick 2" Removing the option of fill, but instead letting players pick 2-5 roles to search for.

It does prioritize your main role. You just failed to realize the impact of supply and demand.

No one really queues up as support. It is not that it doesn't prioritize your Primary.

It is basically "Whenever I pick anything that can be support, I get support." It's that no one wants to queue up as support. Thus whenever you queue up. There is probably 1 game that needs a jungle and has been in queue for 1 second. However, there are 15 games that have been there for 65 seconds waiting for a support.

Dynamic Queue does a great job of prioritizing. The issue revolves around that no one wants to play support because: there is no glory; if you do a good job, it was the adc doing great the entire time; if the adc gets too thirsty and dies, you didn't back them up. It's thankless and the position that receives the most flame whether or not you are going an absolutely superb job. This last part is because it's easy to see when a carry is doing well, it is easy to notice because their KDA will be pretty high. You have to be really paying attention to notice when a support is shining.

My thoughts for how the system can be improved is as a community we nurture a much more friendly environment for a support. This really stems towards EVERY role. However, specifically support, since currently I think it is the least desired role. Jungle is right behind it though. For almost the exact same reasons, and jungle is even harder to execute well.
