Riot actually came out and said that there shen rework was a bust and the whole floating sword mechanic was pretty akward. Which is for sure! They will definitly give him a secound rework however that wont come for a lloonngg time they said :/ my guess, about 2 seasons from now

I went through over 25 pages of riot news to try and find where they said it and i couldnt find that particular one :/ . But I found when they noticed his rework didnt go as planned. They talked about him very briefly in the beginning. Hope this is good enough (:

They never said it was a bust they said it felt thematically awkward. Gameplaywise Riot likes the rework.

Just revert his stupid rework while keeping the visual upgrades.

The mechanics he got are gimmicky AF and doesn't feel nearly rewarding enough for the hassle you have to go through in using them.
