Is It Even Relevant

Are any ideas in the gameplay & balance section even considered or looked at? Because I dont see replies or news of a soon to come system that came from the boards of gameplay. Ive seen comments on skin art and animations though and thats disappointing. The least you can do riot is explain why one of these ideas couldn't work and move on. And please dont use lack of staff or something similar as an excuse. Your a billion dollar company and im sure you could expand to fit the growing player population. Just saying what I see from riot over the last year and a half.

I ve been on these boards for a while now and can agree. While i enjoy posting my ideas for all to see, and may find that the majority of my posts aren't met with a much approval by the community. Ill occasionally come up with an idea that gets considerable upvotes. I've also seen a couple of threads like these pop up that get lost in the void, since they were never picked up by a red.

Solution would be to assign/appoint veteran board frequenters/volunteers a sort of mod status whereby they objectively look for/select quality posts and tag them to give them priority status to be reviewed by reds. To obtain said priviledges a member would need to show exemplary behavior. They would meet criteria and get approved by riot, following an examination of sorts.

They could only tag them on like a friday and no more than 5 per week. with 5 mods thats 25 tags. So during the course of the week they would favorite/bookmark their preferred posts. on the friday they would tag them (that way they won't just tag the first thing that catches their eye). There would be a section devoted to tagged threads. For each tag they would require a small explanation as to why they tagged.

At the end of each week reds answer the previous week's tags in a sticked thread. Answer whether or not they see fit to add a feature or explain why not.

Agreed.

I feel that Riot don't really care about the Gameplay & Balance forum very much. There are a lot of good threads discussing problems in the game in a careful and detailed manner, outlining things that a lot of people have issues with and proposing reasonable solutions - but I don't recall ever seeing any of these getting a red post.

Generally, you see a lot of threads about the same issues coming up here over and over - that is because a lot of people care about those issues and they affect a lot of people. Riot pretty much never reply to these kinds of threads, not even just to acknowledge the problems.

The biggest reason is most likely that many threads are either raging about a champion/role, begging for nerfs to a balanced champion, or covering a topic that has been rehashed multiple times since the game was created.

In addition, discussion regarding balance tends to be subject to a lot of strong opinions, which brings GIFT into full effect.

Riot's Gameplay and "Balance" Team are their worst offenders of having a god-complex. What they do is shape the very game itself and how it's played, so they want it to be molded into their own personal visions of what they want it to look like. They don't even bother to discuss changes amongst each other, let alone the playerbase. As far as they're concerned, LoL is their own private SimCity they're allowed to bend to their wills and they make changes without requiring management approval. Many a time, they make changes in secret without mentioning it in the patch notes, tooltips or even to fellow employees.

On the rare occasion that they do bother giving us the time of day, their words are coated in condescension and propaganda. They say what they think will quiet our voices the longest, they don't even try saying anything we want to hear or even bother saying anything remotely useful. They ignore our questions and concerns, then act surprised when they're met with anger and disapproval.

I've personally had the displeasure of speaking to both Fearless and Riot Jag. I'm certain other players can name a few other employees that have been verbally abusive towards us.
