What is the Strongest Ult?

Basically the title but im going to break it into groups:

-Strongest solo initiation -Strongest teamfight initiation -Strongest kill potential -Strongest utility -Strongest peel

And lastly, what is the most broken ult in the game? (even if its only in specific circumstances)

I dont have opinions on all of these (at least as of posting this) but heres mine:

Solo initiation: Ashe (moreover I made this pick with the thought of a long range ashe arrow can stun a single target for a long time) Teamfight initiation: Malphite Peel: Janna

Im curious about others' opinions :)

(Feel free to add your own catagories you feel ive missed)

Strongest utility: Karma Mantra-Q deals ridiculous amounts of damage and is pretty much a sure hit against anyone without a dash because of the end detonation. Mantra-W scales from 1.5 to 3.25 seconds of root, does good damage, and heals Karma for 40+% of her missing health. Mantra-E is a mini Sivir ult(same MS boost, but shorter duration), and shields for 4 seconds. And to top it all off, she gets her ult for free at level 1, so laning levels 1-5 is laning with ult against an opponent that doesn't have an ult.

This I actually can agree. It has so many uses for many situations, karma all around is good utility.

Most broken...

At one point they were testing a new version of Shaco's ult on the pbe that launched him as a projectile before splitting with the clone. If you blocked it with Yasuo's Windwall, it would literally delete Shaco from the game.

Solo initiation: Lissandra Teamfight initiation: Orianna Strongest kill potential: Veigar (obviously) Strongest utility: Zilean or Trynda Strongest peel: Gragas (pretty much a ranged Janna ult) Most broken in the right situation: Kindred definitely.

I would also include a Strongest disengage one: Zyra

I find that the more I enlighten people about Kindred ulti the more I have fun. If a teamfight breaks out and everyone stands in it, everyone lives. Then use AoE cleave to burst everyone down.

Not really. Its 100% AP ratio on his ulti. Same as Blitz ulti. Difference is Malph has 400 base damage on his ulti on lvl 16, while Blitz has 500. Cho'Gaths Q also has 100% AP ratio, 100 less base damage on lvl 16. But as its not ultimate he can do more damage early. Morganas ultimate will do twice the AP Malph damage if it hits 2nd instance of damage.

But overall strongest ulti is Nunus fully channeled ultimate.

Lucian's Culling actually has the highest AP ratio, at least in theory; if you channeled the entire ultimate onto one minion (maybe Soraka is healing it or something), it'll take 1200% of your AP. Annie's ultimate has the highest to-champions AP ratio of any single ability; I believe it's 980% if they stand in every tick of Tibbers' aura.

Well if we are talking about damage to minions including over time, not at once, put tibbers for full duration next to it.

Veigar's ult is going to do more damage RELIABLY, while Nunu and Fiddle are going to do more damage if they can position and keep their opponent in range. Veigar of course is going to do less damage than the others if they have to target someone like an ADC though.

"Peel" refers to keeping enemy champions from reaching an ally (usually the ADC) or getting them away if they're already there. Alistar , Thresh and Janna are examples of champions that are good at peeling.

dragon rage is the strongest and most versatile ultimate by far, mostly due to its ABSURD synergy with the rest of lee sins kit as the ultimate alone has one of the highest damage scalings in the game and an extremely long disable duration plus the longest range displacement in the game which makes it perfect to burst, execute, peel or disengage.

the combination of W+R makes for a perfect engage tool while the R+Q makes for the ultimate uncounterable burst combo. if i could make a champion out of all existing champions, he would definitely have lee sins ultimate.

I think the most overall damage an ability can do is Nunu 's Absolute Zero. Plus it provides a slow and can be a really good peel (cause people don't want to go in it)

kayles ult is pretty strong, it would go in utility probably. bieng immune to damage for 3 seconds at max rank is pretty strong

What can be considered as all of those that no one has mentioned, Bard , Tempered Fate

You can ulti someone so your team can collapse and make a pick.

You can ulti a team so they can't reposition while your team has the few seconds.

You can ulti a team and leave the carries to die while the frontline watches helplessly.

Getting chased? ulti stops them if the person being chased can get out of it.

Peel? Bard ultimate can give your team a good disengage tool, and at rank 3 with 45% CDR, you can do it every 49 seconds.

Problem is, every single one of those situations requires your team to take advantage of it, leaving the ult's strength to be extremely dependent on the hand you were dealt by the matchmaking system.

A good ult should be somewhat useful even if you are on your own

Strongest solo initiation. Ahri Gets in, gets the job done, then gets out. Strongest team fight initiation Malphite Hard AoE CC and a gap closer. Strongest kill potential Kennen AoE, DoT, CC, and almost always guarantees one or more kills. Strongest peel Braum AoE knock up with a slow equipped on a tank whose job it is to safeguard allies. Strongest utility Heimerdinger Karma Leblanc the multi tool ults in the game.

You put those ults on literally any champion and they will improve. They are insurmountably good...

Strongest overall? MasterYi Highlander. It's the only reason he's even viable as a champion; no other ult in the game would be better on him than the one he has.

-Strongest solo initiation: Diana (after landed Q; does that count?) -Strongest teamfight initiation: Malphite -Strongest kill potential: nearly any good execute but I will go with Riven because it is AOE and the Ult gives a buff to give additional damage before the second part.

-Strongest utility: way too hard to tell because so many ults have utility involved in them and utility is mostly situational. I would suggest changing this to Ults that have no damage component to them as it makes it a little bit more narrow. My guess would be: TwistedFate in that situation. -Strongest peel: Janna or Gragas (has other uses too; initiation, nuke, execute)

I would suggest best self buff ult too. Which I think is pretty hard to say. My favorite personally is Singed but I don't know if I would call it the strongest.
