Why play irelia when you can play jax

Gunblade and rageblade are op on jax

Jax has a lamppost

Jax r gives him free mr and armor

Better duelist

Irelia only has true damage and stun

Good question really. I think her midgame is better, so if you're trying to end before late game, its better to get her. She also has alot of stuff Jax doesn't. Free tenacity, free sustain, long range ult. She does have true damage so i guess that inherently makes her better at taking down tanky teams, but since that's a job that's more for ADC's to do in team fights, its kinda mute....honestly for me personally, i just like how she plays better than jax.

flat true damage is actually strongest against squishies, especially for a fighter who isn't investing in armor/mr pen. She's a strong anti carry because of it.

I have played both, but I vastly prefer Irelia, I find her to be more versatile and mobile (If you know how to manage your dashes).

That being said, I hate laning agaisnt a Jax as Irelia, he's a ticking late game bomb.

As a main Irelia that is my favorite matchup. it is entirely skill-matchup, and whoever wins can snowball and win the game

This is why. Though I don't use a lamp-post, I use the World Cup for the "Thunk" sound it makes.
