Just a question- how do you counterplay diana

Especially when she gets 100 ap+ and can either one shot you or outduel you with her passive. What would you do in that situation? I know, buy mr blablabla, then what? She is only getting stronger, and you're just becoming more useless to your team since you're building resistant to mages. She'll still outduel you, and can easily force fights. You can spend your whole time dodging her q's so you don't get one shot, or you can try to farm and then get caught and gibbed instantly.

Zhonyas, banshee veil, maw,mr,Kayle,zed, pretty much any champ with high mobility can counter her. Shutting her down early and denying farm works too.

Pick a tanky AP bruiser into her and don't duel her. Dueling Diana is like dueling Tryndamere. It won't work out well.

That's the problem then? Characters shouldn't be unduelable due to their kit.

Every champion has strengths and weaknesses. Every champion has a niche. Diana's is dueling/burst. Take that away and she has nothing.

It's unnecessary to do as well, seeing as you could just pick someone who sustains well and likes to build tanky into her, and avoid dueling altogether, thus negating the advantage Diana has.

League is kind of like rock, paper, scissors, in terms of knowing what a champions niche is, and what they're strong or weak against.

Right now your argument sounds something like this: "Rock is dangerously OP and in desperate need of nerfs. Sincerely, scissors.". Instead of picking scissors into rock, try picking paper.

You forgot about tank + mobility + poke + cc niches. She can do all of that, and still absolutely shit on you just like graves.

If she gets a few kills you might aswell type /ff because at that point all she has to do is click and kill no skill req

In soloq shes a power house because early on she can just catch alot of poeple out and kill the mid laner with ease at 6 and if she hits you with a q she can double cast her ultimate on you on top of her q already hurting and if you try to run away she then pulls you back in and shield herself which does damage too. Should of seen her when she was released.... pure monster that can 1v5....

im just saying champs with lower playrates such as swain kayle and diana are still fucking broken no matter how people try to word counterplay

I think the better way to approach is to avoid fighting her 1 v 1.

If you're stuck in lane with her, just try to farm and poke(if possible).

When somebody can cc her then you and you'll team can get her.

You are looking at her wrong, she is an ap assassin, meant to delete you. Use someone who can delete her, faster. Syndra Khazix Irelia Annie Anivia all have potential to just destroy her. AP approach, rush Abyssal or Athene's (depending on how mana hungry your champion is) and shut her down pre-6 before she can start deleting you. AD Approach, Obviously rush hexdrinker. But she is MEANT to duel, so i wouldnt suggest a whole lot of melee, the only reason i put irelia and khazix in my list was because khazix is basically able to delete everyone late game. Irelia is just strong over all, with true damage and a stun/slow and good sustain.
