I have a posistive Ranked Win rate and yet i lose more LP than I Gain.
Exactly what the title says, I would understand if I had a negative W/L ratio but I don't I'm above 50% (barely) but still positive. Why am I losing more than gaining?

That title doesn't even make sense. Of course your win rate will be positive, it is between 0 and 100.

He's referring to being above 50% as positive. Which makes sense, meaning you win more games than you lose, therefore being positive. Nice try being a smart ass, ****head.
It's called comedy.
This is the community we are dealing with here: Downvoting for stating a "fact". For your reference:
pos·i·tive /ˈpäzədiv/
1.a good, affirmative, or constructive quality or attribute. "take your weaknesses and translate them into positives" 2.a photographic image showing lights and shades or colors true to the original, especially one printed from a negative. 3.a result of a test or experiment indicating the presence of something. "let us look at the distribution of those positives" 4.the part of an electric circuit that is at a higher electrical potential than another point designated as having zero electrical potential. 5.an adjective or adverb in the positive degree. 6.another term for positif. **7. a number greater than zero. ** [zombie-brand-facepalm]

yeah mathematically you are correct, but nowdays people have lost the ability to do proper math and think 50% is the zero point as that is the reference for "balance". or more likely its easily to say and for people to interpret "positive" as a "greater than 50%" ratio
Or, you know, people are adhering to general society and picking up social cues for what means what :)

well the answer is obviously his mmr is lower than what he is ranked right now.
why is lower idk
Stop trying so hard to be a smart ass.
No one finds it funny.
Good meme.

plus u have a point, people usually refer to winrate in a correct manner, above 50% or below to add to your point: what is a 'posistive' ranked win rate anyway? kablam!
Your MMR is lower than what the system thinks it should be for your rank.
The only thing you can do about it keep winning.
to clarify, you need to keep winning, but against higher rated people.
You can beat people lower than you all day long, but if you can't beat people your mmr or higher...well. these are the results.
When you consistently lose in ranked and only win more then lose by a small margin or just legit lose more than win but your lp gain stops you from dropping divisions, etc. Riot sometimes deems that you are not in the right elo and can adjust your lp gain and loss to where its more punishing if you lose games to the point where you really have to fight for the right just to stay in the division youre currently in. I speak from experience, i killed it in ranked mid season and went all the way from p5 to p1 but then hit a hard stump where i could not get past 50 lp at any point in time in p1 despite having a positive win rate. Eventually i stopped gaining 20+ lp and only gained 17-18 while i lost 20+ lp. Long story short i did not get diamond last season lol.
TLDR: Being hardstuck in a division/winning 1 game and losing 2 but get a positive lp gain won't last forever, expect to lose lp gain and increase lp loss

Probably has to do with your order of wins and losses (resulting in your MMR being below your rank).
Likely you either went on a losing streak recently (so your win rate dropped towards 50% but not enough to go below), or you happened to win important games and lose meaningless games resulting in your rank rising faster than your MMR (you won all your promos 2-1 or 3-2, lost games at 0LP after being promoted frequently, etc...). So your rank rose as fast as possible while your W-L was around 50-50.
Idk last season id usually get 22 lp for a win and lose 20
This season i only win 17-18 and lose 20 so I either stagnate or lose my lp
mmr its all mmr if your teams mmr is higher than enemies you will lose more lp
Ranked lp gain is dependent on the recent result. not overall. also are you duoing with someone?
Keep in mind that the game also factors in your opponent's MMR. You might just be getting matched against shitty opponents.
I agree, something's up with the LP I get like 15 LP when I win but earlier today I won 20 LP then lost 26 LP in the game after that.
Well according to Op.gg (which isn't 100% accurate) you have lower MMR than you should (s1 for being g5). And usually it's right when you do have lower MMR you will lose more than you gain, so I'd just say keep playing and it should even out if you stay even.

Your MMR is lower than your rank. That is why you don't gain much LP.
