can we please do away with auto fill

ok riot seriously the auto fill function you put in is absolutely worthless. i have 3 roles i enjoy playing and those are top, mid, and adc, so those are the roles i queue up for. i find no fun in playing jungle or support so i stay away from those spots but when i get forced into them because of people queue dodging, well guess what i queue dodge myself. and i've been up to a 45 minute dodge timer before because of being forced to play support. if you want to help queue times then go the route other games have taken and offer better rewards to people who queue up as a needed role but dont force me to play something that i find no enjoyment in because that is the quickest way to lose players

back in the day if you didn't know how to play all roles with at least 2 characters, you didn't even know how to play the game. All the soft suzies and their special needs.

back in the day we didnt get pushed into playing something we didnt like to play. not going to waste my time learning how to play something that isnt fun to me

Back in the day, if you were last pick you either 1) Had someone of higher pick order let you play a role you want if you were lucky. 2) Played the fill role if higher picks didn't budge off their lane selection.

Do you have something in mind as to how to reward autofill, because autofill support will always be there simply because there is not enough support players in queue to not put anyone who doesn't want to support to support.

His point was to make the support role more attractive so the shortage of support players doesn't even appear in the first place

The thing that comes to my mind is the instance finderin WoW. When there is a shortage of tanks and healers in the finder, they give an extra reward for finishing the instance to anyone who queues for the role(s) needed.

yes actually i do. they can do something along the lines of blue essence capsules or special skins that can only be gotten through queueing as support or even small amounts of riot points.

im not even talking about in ranked games. more along the lines of removing it period. i've been playing since the start and i've never even finished 10 placement matches in ranked. i like playing this game for fun and the high stress setting that ranked matches are dont appeal to me. and neither does being forced to play a role i dont want to play

Yeah. Longer queue time in exchange for playing what i want is a good trade.
