Luden's Echo vs. Rabadon's spreadsheet

Luden's vs Rabadon's

I went ahead and made a spreadsheet to see where and when item 3285 is better/worse than item 3089 since I really enjoy the item, but I didn't know whether or not it was actually helpful for how I play. In retrospect I understand that the spreadsheet is a little flawed considering my approach to it is strictly casting the same ratio spell repeatedly, where not all spells have the same ratios or even DO damage. However, it is fairly accurate for spells that are spammed often (I'm looking at you, Cassiopeia ). With that said I apologize for those who want to know about other ratios, but i don't know my way around the new versions of excel so this was a test of patience for me. Please tell me if there are any outstanding errors in my calculations, and thank you for your time.

Clarity: I created an arbitrary spell that dealt 0 flat damage with an AP ratio so you can see how much damage is dealt to a target with 0 resists. From there, I put in AP values in increments of 120 since that's how much item 3089 and item 3285 grant.

Green boxes show superior damage, red boxes show inferior damage. And, as stated in the spreadsheet, All AP values are BEFORE item 3089 is applied. For example, 666 AP before item 3089 is translated to 865.8 AP.

this is nice.

if you want to do it on ratios whether the 100 +15% ap ratio is better than 30% ap.

then you treat rabadon's as a 15% boost to your champions ratios, and if that boost is more than 100 damage, rabadon's is better. for leblanc's combo without hitting chains, so just QRW you need 150 AP for the 2 items to be equal

In other words, the champ with the most to gain from building luden's is AP kogmaw.

...well, i mean, I knew that as soon as I saw it, but the chart is still useful. Good to know it wasn't my imagination and that luden's is only good in short trade on most champs.

Other things to consider though: Luden's can help provide stronger waveclear than Dcap, and it also provides movespeed... which is underrated.

Low AP ratios would be good with Luden's? I've been wondering ever since the item came out, how well is it on Mordekaiser? He has pretty low scalings, but spamming skills isn't the best idea. Is Luden's viable on him?

its faster for comparative purposes, if you keep plugging in amounts of ability power but you always have to multiply the deathcap one by 1.3 you are wasting time.
