Champion Diversity in challenger
Let's break this down by the top 5 champions played by the 200 challenger players. Ezreal is in the top 5 champions played of 60 of 200 challenger players. 30% Lucian 65 32.5% Corki 35 17.5% Fiora 34 17% LeBlanc 20 10% Ahri 20(Admittedly lower than I expected) 10% Kalista 34 17% Elise 27 13.5% Nidalee 26 13% Graves 25 12.5% Gragas 18 9% Alistar 22 11% Quinn 20 10% I got lazy and stopped here. It seems to me that the majority of challenger players have at least 1 adc in their top 5 or more. It feels like ADCs are just so strong now that it makes my head hurt. Ez, Lucian, Kalista and Kog all feel ridiculously strong(Kalista more so in high elo) and Graves and Quinn feel like they are viable anywhere and strong no matter what and it is reflected in the amount of challenger players currently using them. I think Corki may have such high numbers due to being used in mid and as an adc, but he feels rather strong right now as well. It feels to me like Season 6 is starting off as the league of ADCs and as usual there are maybe 3-5 viable champs for each lane and the rest are viewed as troll picks or suboptimal. I hope that we can see more balancing champs like what happened with Mundo instead of knee jerk reactions that make the champion who was op completely unviable anymore and perhaps work more towards making the majority of champions viable instead of there being 20 viable champs at a time and the rest being sigh worthy suboptimal picks. For instance I bet Kog'Maw is going to get nerfed instead of Guinsoos rageblade which is what is making him and every other champion that synergizes with the item so strong.
I guess I am probably rambling, but I guess I wanted to hear if my opinions are in line wit what the rest of you are feeling or if I am just being whiney.
