The New HUD could be the end of League

The new HUD is not only ugly and literally causes me to look at the map less but it puts less focus on your items, health, teammates and pretty much the whole game. The map is not apparent enough and the absolute most disgusting thing that this patch brought was giving the dragon and baron timers to a team without vision. I hope i never have to use this "upgrade" of a hud because it honestly feels like they just windowed 8 League. At the very least i hope we can get an option to use the old hud or at best shove this piece of trash under a rug and pretend it never happened. after playing a few matches the constant thought of quitting league was in my mind entirely because of the new hud. just please bring back the old one, people don't like change, especially when it isn't good change.

i think i made over a dozen posts on the PBE saying i did not like new HUD... CLEARLY stated what the problems were... CLEARLY said what changes needed to be done if they were to do a new HUD... and yet they do this bull shit to live anyways completely ignoring all feedback... the only Riot comments i seen were along the lines of "you will get used to it" which both is not the point and the fact that players cannot find anything as veterans means new players can never get into the game ever which means league slowly bleeds out and dies because of the new HUD and ignoring player feedback

champion balance changes i can understand being less feedback and more bug testing - but when you come up with new features to the game YOU HAVE TO TAKE IN PLAYER FEEDBACK WHICH THEY CLEARLY DID NOT

P.S. Season 5 has been 99% a complete shit show for league starting in the pre-season 5 - only good change was the AP item changes

It looks nice but works for jack shit. It's so awkward trying to pay attention to minimap along with everything else you're doing and takes more effort than it did before to do ANYTHING.

Will take tons of games to not anoy me anymore. It hurts my eyes, I get a headache from looking too much on the screen because the important icons are all too little. I hope Riot gives us an option to use the old hud, I really think about simply dropping this game after this change. Played this game since season 2 but this change is just...completly stupid. Riot forces players to accept a new hud even though its shit just because its new. Not everything that is new must be better then the old thing.

Mini map is in the exact same position, how is it harder to see. If anything it's easier to see because they put the score board right above it. You are basically looking at it even more now because your eyes are drawn to it when you look at the score.

You will like it over time. There is a lot less useless things in the way now. It's way better but getting used to it will take a minute. Part of the reason you struggle to see minimap is also because you are seeing more of the game and less of the hud. More info = less focus until you are used to the info.

I think an issue is how use people are to the old HUD, I don't think the new one is bad, however after playing the game so long we know where to look in which EXACT spot for everything to be in. Even if it moved a tiny bit, we would notice a difference overall as we are all Humans. The issue isn't that the HUD is bad, and personally I think It's better, It's that we are way too use to the older verison.

For example, when I leveled up my abilities I thought "Wait, why am I out of mana" because of the color of all of the abilities, despite them all being clearly a different color of blue from the OOM colors. I wasn't out of mana, but I could level up my abilities and I didn't realize it until I looked at the ^ symbol above the ability.

Personally I think the new HUD is great and definitely, once we're all use to it, make the game feel better and make it easier to see different aspects like death timers. When someone dies, everybody is flipping back and forth the leaderboard to see them, now you simply just look to your right. It also makes it more clear when your abilities are up and exact when they will be, which I also think is awesome.

New HUD is absolute garbage. Literally puts me in a shitty mood after putting so much time into this game. Makes me seriously consider quitting for Heroes of the Storm or another MOBA. Riot why?

I'm probably going to uninstall league if this new HUD stays. It's disgusting.

I think the thing I hate most is when I hit C, it brings up this little piece of garbage menu that has these little images instead of actual text.

And if you don't hold C down, it goes away.

If Riot wanted to give people a reason to start playing other games like Heroes of the storm, well congrats, you succeeded.

That was the worst part for me, you cant see your own stats easily, they have this ass menu crowded with around 16 icons which we are just supposed to know what they mean, looking at team/enemy stats is just as bad

So far I'm not a fan. You can argue that everything is in one place, but having everything stacked up does not equal good design. It's like a five course meal stacked up in the bottom right of my screen.

The color pallete also sucks. The yellow level up buttons were way more obvious than the new half translucent blue ones. My first game I even missed taking ult at level 6...

Everyone on the PBE, by the way, HATES the new HUD and was begging Riot not to implement the new HUD and to shelf it--- Riot did not listen to feedback at all--

people wanted the layout to be the same as the old HUD-- people even just wanted to keep using the old HUD-- the dragon and baron timer is a good change and that will improve the game, and the timer thing is also not HUD related at all by the way----

but overall if you go in PBE every game involves 90% of players hating the HUD and 10% being neutral... remember neutral does not mean you like it, it only means you don't care about the change--- basically 99% of the posts on the boards were about how people dislike the new HUD and yet Riot decided to not only implement the HUD with no changes to it or at least very little, but they did it IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FKING SEASON instead of a pre-season disruption being in the pre-season

Some people might like it and that's fine, but don't go forcing everyone to use it just because its "new and improved". Make an option to switch between them or take it off. some people like it but i don't and that's why its utter bs for me. hard facts

Dude, I had to Really really Look hard For stuff. For 4 Years I was Trained and had the muscle Memory to Locate information with the Old HUD, MY Mind knew WHERE IT WAS and I didn't have to Think about it. DUDE!

I literally get eye pain, headaches, and can not see some of the info on it with out strain .. I play this game almost everyday and love it but I honestly will have to quit if I do not have the option for the old one back. I wear glasses and have a large monitor almost on top of me and it's still painful.. Please this is my first time I ever came on the boards to post but I feel like I have to. I love your game but sadly will not play anymore if I am forced to use this HUD.

It's not a matter of not liking it.. It is a matter of not being able to see and being in pain while trying to enjoy my favorite game.

I am done with league til they give an option to revert to the old hud. I somehow kept playing on despite all the shit riot has done in s5, but this is the end of the line. after playing one game with that shit ui, it's not hard to quit at all anymore.
