Why doesn't Draven build Duskblade?

I'm assuming people will say crit is just more favorable but he seems to do a lot of damage with Duskblade. Is there a better reason people don't go for lethality?

Because, why should he.

Duskblade is very suboptimal on most adcs, duskblade is best bought on champs like khazix or talon who have some way to become unseen to get the extra damage proc.

The only ADC champs I could possibly see making decent use of duskblade are vayne (b/c of Q invis when she ults) and MAYBE twitch b/c of his Q. But even then its probably not going to be as strong as another crit item.

Lethality compounds on itself quite a bit more than other stats and, in order to keep his obscene damage up by going this route, he needs to stack more lethality lest he start itemizing something like crit later on and end up with a suboptimal build.

Lethality is also pretty obsolete the moment tougher baddies on the other team start grabbing armor through stuff like item 3157item 3047item 3026 or even the occasional item 3143 (and that's not even counting the armor that supports can provide to allies, like Taric or something), since armor-based damage mitigation follows an exponential curve with a pronounced climb at values closer to 0.

Sometimes lethality can be good, though! Especially if the other team isn't anticipating it--Duskblade is difficult to get full mileage out of but in situations where the enemy team lacks armor stackers (which tends to happen in the current season) a singular, well-placed item 3142 in tandem with high-AD choices like item 3072/item 3812 and item 3036 can really steroid your DPS.

Just follow your heart and build what you think should work, over time you'll be able to recognize when lethality is appropriate--it varies on a teamcomp-by-teamcomp basis. /rant
