Caitlyn
Hey everyone, I'm an ADC main and have been for quite a while. I thought I would share my thoughts on Caitlyn.
Currently Caitlyn is sitting on just above a 50% winrate, however one could argue this is due to her relatively high playrate. In lane, caitlyn has the ability to zone out nearly any other ADC except for maybe a Jinx or an Ashe. This is due to her having the highest range in the game (550) not including post - level 13 Tristana or Kog'Maw with his 'w'. With her passive she is able to scare her lane opponent out or range of her auto attacks and the creeps with the threat of the crazy damage, not to mention she will most likely receive little backlash if she does this. Furthermore, her traps are an incredibly good zoning tool. At level one, if you put a point into your 'w' you're able to place 3 down immediately, costing you only 60 mana, which is only 10 mana more then it would cost to use her 'q', which arguably her best ability. With these traps, Caitlyn can either freeze the wave, putting her in a safe position while zoning the enemy of any gold and experience or she can shove the wave into the tower and continuously poke the enemy while they are in fear of walking on a trap.
Caitlyn's weakest point in the game is her mid-game. However, with all the pressure you put on your lane opponent it is easy for you to pick up a few early kills to help you reach your power spike items earlier, allowing you to still be a powerhouse during this stage of the game. Her late game on the other hand is extremely strong, with your Draven like crits you're able to 2-3 shot squishies. Not to mention if you pick up a last whisper you wont have a problem with tanks.
In my opinion, a champion should not have an extremely good early and late game. Take a look at Lucian, a fairly good ADC at the moment, his early game is extremely strong, however, if he does not get a lead in lane, he can be next to useless mid to late game. Or look at ezreal, another strong ADC, his early game revolves around stacking his tear and farming to get to his mid - late game power spike. Some might argue that Ashe and Jhin also have very strong early and late games, while this is true, they also have no mobility and have also only recently become quite strong, and will more then likely be tuned down next patch, however Cait has been untouched for months.
Just my thoughts, thanks for the read ^.^ [slayer-jinx-catface]
