Rent A Champ

So I posted this on Reddit but one of my buddies said I should post it here as well (although I wasn't sure which board was the right one)

With the ever increasing pool of champions I feel like the weekly rotations isn't giving exposure to enough of the higher skill cap champions that many would like to try. I think it'd be awesome if Riot implemented a system where you could rent a champion for 3 games for a percent IP cost of the champions buy price. This would not only provide an IP sink in the game but it would also allow people to try more champions and increase their knowledge and skill of the game.

What are people's thoughts on this?

really depends on the exchange rate/rent time. Something tells me it would be too expensive and might as well have just bought the champion permanently

Not bad, should be available in RP too (with similar prices to the boosts of the store). Would rent Rekt'Sai or the someday upcoming Ao Shin.

Can't see the downside to the idea nor marketing downside for Rito.

You don't need another IP sink if you don't have all the champions though?

I'd like it, just don't let the rented champs in Ranked, otherwise it will be like having the FTP rotation back again.

Renting champions is/was possible in other regions, I believe. I heard they wanted to try it in NA but they got an overwhelmingly negative response.
