Heals too much with no CD and nearly impossible to kill ghouls (ESPECIALLY THE ONE THAT HEALS AND HEALS WAY TOO GOD DAMN MUCH!). Needs a big nerf on heal amount. There is no more EXECUTIONER'S CALLING. No way to stop him from winning lane sooner or later unless he just fucking sucks.
What is this, season 2? People stopped playing Yorick after the MS overhaul. There's not a good way to keep his ghouls on top of someone for their duration in the league of everyone-dashes-always. He's also extremely mana gated. Unlike SOME champs who allegedly fall off, Yorick really does. In fact, in this meta I'd wager he's nothing more than a free GA for your ADC.
He does lack counterplay. Since his nerfs, however, he has low base mana (means he has to build mana instead of damage early). Try attack move clicks if you have trouble targeting his ghouls and destroying them to decrease the amount of damage you take.

Magic resist counters his damage, since his W & E deals magic damage although scales with AD, and also negates some of Yorick's heals. An early 
should hold him off a bit. As a Yorick player, this counter makes me a little frustrated.

Yoricks entire gimmick is that he wins his lane.

Outside of lane hes kind of mediocre in every aspect.
Seriously though his entire gimmick is that he wins his lane except for maybe against gnar but even then he may win.
Since you are likely raging about this game, you should probably know that your team was all AD (allowing Yorick to stack armor), you had one champions (Rek'sai) building significant defenses, you had little CC or kiting potential, and both you and Rek'sai fed Yorick many kills early in the game (which let him snowball).
Blade of the Ruined King isn't that great a rush item against a champion who had Iceborn Gauntlet and Frozen Heart (without any health items) early. Also, a lot of Yorick's early damage is magic, so you choice to take Attack Speed glyphs instead of Magic Resistance wasn't a smart one. And, well, Yorick more than doubled your CS and had an item advantage over you most of the game.
I main Yorick and I will tell you exactly how to beat him. ALL IN. That's about all there is to it, you can all in any Manamune Yorick all day, their damage is just too low for all but poke champs. Don't wait for him to get farmed and ready, just wait till he tries to poke you from afar and gap close on him and kill him, he'll hit you for roughly 250 damage max then only be able to auto you for 70 a pop every nearly 2 seconds. Use that to your advantage. You can do this until he's built armor or a good amount of damage.
If he builds early damage (starts Long Sword) don't do that because he is gonna hit harder, and his ghouls are gonna hit harder, and he's less likely to poke with his heal from afar because he'd rather take an auto trade then cast the Heal and auto trade again (you will probably lose that fight unless you have a stun to negate his second auto). I don't know what champ you played against him but if it's a poke champ you probably lose, if it's a tank, probably not that good either, if it's a fighter you should be able to win since they generally have a better all in than Yorick now days. Also, if he does hit you with ghouls hop in a bush to deaggro the ghouls and run at him from the bushes to trade some damage avoiding getting hit by the healing ghoul.
Counters to Yorick include, Renekton, Xin, Riven, Jax, basically any all in champ that does high burst with a stun.
